Yenisey-STM Krasnoyarsk

Just checked the weather for Saturday in Krasnoyarsk, Russia (that's where they play apparently) and it's -18 to -27 degrees with sunny intervals. I wonder how we'll cope with that on top of at least 2 long flights. Any fans likely to go do you think? Can't see Radio Bristol paying expenses for radio commentary

Well Bristol played in those conditions at Rotherham last season - so no problem there!

I believe that this game will be played in Sochi, due to the slight possibility of a frozen pitch in Siberia in January.

Wasn't there a plan to move it Sochi instead, or did I dream that?

By my reckoning we are nearer to Sochi than Krasnoyarsk is.

If this team is based in Siberia presumably their season is in the summer. So this Euro Cup tournament is out of season for them.

It is not possible to do anything outside in -18, itís simply too dangerous unless you are dressed in extreme thermal gear. Iíve experienced -25 in Canada & -10 + windchill in Geneva last year - even dressed in my ski gear you could not stay outside for more than 20 mins. Glad itís Sochi!

"ALL English" qualified team.

Protheroe at full back,
O'Connor - centre
Daniels - wing
etc etc

Agree with something along those lines being the team. I'll have a stab at:

1: Dawe
2: Fenton-Wells
3: Faletau
4: Hawkins
5: Ehizode
6: Graham
7: Heenan
8: Haining
9: Cullen
10: Eden
11: Powell
12: Bedlow
13: Tovey
14: Daniels
15: Protheroe
