Andrei Ostrikov is off to FC Grenoble for next season

Wish him all the best!

Just wondering whether Brexit was a factor?

Damn, really gutted about that
Wish him all the luck in the world for his future, but wish it was with us!

Agree. He has been a good servant to the club over a number of years. The sort of stalwart player that every club needs. Rarely a 'standout' performer but always reliable and willing to work hard. He will be missed accordingly but wish him all the best.

Top club man. Off to join Halani and a bit of a return for him back to France. If what the rugby pod guys said about retiring in France is true then fair play to him. Hopefully means that either we will get someone top class (expect Evans to be in his last season here too) or Nott and Postlethwaite are finally going to get a good run out. Best wishes to Andrei.

Does that explain why we havenít seen him much this year, even when presumably fit. A great servant. Could he be the person who was rumoured to be leaving which was ďa real shameĒ or words to that effect? Or was that definitely a younger player. We have to sign someone huge in more ways than one.

Agree it may explain why Phillips has been preferred since Andrei has been fit.

Iíd like to think it signals he knows that weíve a big signing coming in that area.

Philips being eqp and doesn't knock on like Andrei surely comes into it right?

A good servant but if more overseas players are being signed then others have to go to meet the eqp quotas and allow pathways for younger players to progress. As others have said he has a tendency to knock on and would be no more than fifth choice for a top 4/6 side.

I suspect that Evans will go as well, especially if a big South African lock is signed.

До свидания Андрей и спасибо за всё игры - мы всегда будем ради, за что вы нам дали smiling smiley.

Edit: Tried to type that out in Russian script (I speak Russian) and add some other message for Andrei but it hasn't worked out, sorry folks!
