So after one game the injury count is 4, not including those who started the season injured.

Standard!

We have always had long term injury issues (or at least as long as I can remember). Some clubs do not suffer to the same extent. Perhaps we are lacking something?

Notts are always pretty tough at home. Should be a good game.

Homers try sounded a beauty.

It was Irvine try, they got it wrong on the shirt numbers. He took a high pass above his head from homer a real hospital pass ! But on coming down he swayed past one defender and the side stepped two others, amazing try from Irvine that gave the team belief.

Perhaps Callum is worth a starting place against Donny?

Great result - Notts are a tough nut. Looks like last week's pre-season match did the business!

Well done lads. Perhaps now we can look to being positive. Sounds like a bit more than 25 minutes of effort happened. So, again, well done and I hope the improvement continues.

As for Callum Irvine, dare I say this? But, I told you he was good!

Alex Davies excellent place kicking kept us in it first half. Huge defensive effort early in the 2nd half when Notts were camped on our line for what felt like forever but was probably 10 minutes (we were down to 14 for all of it) but kept them out. That felt game changing and so it proved.

That gave us confidence and the introduction of Homer and Irvine provided the spark. Great effort from the whole squad though.

Saw Jonah Holmes, Lee Blackett and Jon Pendlebury to name 3 ex Carnegie peeps. An enjoyable evening all round.
