Early days but.....

......after just 2 fixtures the top four teams are the ones I expect to be the top four at the end of the season. Similarly Roth and 'mond are propping up the rest. If we are to rise above mid-table mediocrity then we need to beat the leading group. A good start could be on Sunday when Donny visit the building site.

Nothing happened over the weekend to suggest that the relegation spot will be contested between Rotherham and Richmond. We will get an indicator at the end of the month when the sides meet at Clifton Lane.

At the top of the table Bris and Ealing rumble on. However we have now beaten 2 out of the top 4 sides which suggests that we might reasonably achieve top four this season.

If the defence stays like yesterday we will. Get the backs ticking and we might do better, injuries permitting of course.

I think the lineout will have to improve as well, we wasted some promising positions by poor play there.

I can't help thinking that we just lack match sharpness, without knowing what happened pre-season but the lack of visible matches has to be a concern.

On a positive note it does suggest more improvement to come though!
