Good report and pretty much what I watched. Bristol were sharper, more clinical and ref savvy. The ref seemingly concentrating on the ruck area (his words) whilst forgetting the crossing/obstruction law that the savvy Bristol side used to good effect. Carnegie were always gonna struggle against a side with so many quality players but didn't cave in.

Thank you Almo. A very balanced and fair assessment . Beaten by a very good team in this league and considering our injury problems the team did as well as could be expected.

Looking at our league position we are now behind part timers Richmond which for a club is not acceptable. Perhaps they have an ethos we do not have. I go back to someone's comment on another post, and saintly I agree with, is that we will end up as a division 1 side and playing somewhere else. The money is the Rhinos not us. I feel so sad as having been involved since 1970

See Notts beat ealing today.

We need to get our 10s back asap an climb the table but others perform better with less. I don't think the squad is that balanced. Something the coaches and Gibson need to address.

The squad is definitely not balanced, but that is because it is last year's squad with the highest paid players being encouraged to leave to save costs. There is no money, we will just be putting out a make-do-and-mend squad.

Team unity ? As I mentioned on another post Ollie Stedman's tirade against certain players when they where stood behind the posts does not bode well.
Did not see the Scots having a stoochie when they where trailing the All Blacks.

Thanks Almo. A somewhat subdued report on a game that I thought that we had a chance of going close (based on previous encounters when we have upped our game). Interesting to see that the club name rankles even now, even in Bristol. Leedsshire indeed! A proud city name sold out for a 30 pieces of silver! A team that has been sold out by effectively getting rid of the best players to save money! A club that has no comprehension of how to attract money and yes, Leeds is one of the richest cities in Britain and Europe!
As for Gibson addressing the situation, I'd love to know what he contributes to the Club. He should, in my view, perhaps be better employed selling beer!

Hi Bobba, I was wondering if my report was in accord with your observations on the two construction webcams?

Not 100% sure that putting Leeds instead of Yorkshire on our shirts would have lead to a win, though.

Almo. If you think I am going to spend my time watching the construction of a stadium for Rhinos then you are sadly mistaken. I would sooner go fishing! And you know my views on that inactivity!

As for having Leeds or Yorkshire on the shirt it is quite possible, in my view, that with the Leeds brand it would not have alienated the rest of Yorkshire and beyond, and, may, just may have attracted some additional sponsorship to the Club, meaning that some players we let go, would still be playing for us. And, who knows, perhaps the result would have been somewhat different?

But, what the heck do I know, we have a management team whose job it is to look after these things, and clearly they know best!

Since Caddick took his bat home we have failed to attract any decent sponsorship, irrespective of our name. Wealthy Yorkshiremen do not, as a rule, pour their hard earned cash down bottomless pits. History and tradition are against us.

We had a ex playing, rugby loving and one of the richest guys in England lose interest. Goes to show it could happen to any club.

If the Rhinos didn't exist I would agree entirely. However, in parallel with Caddick's "investments" in RU he was also running Rhinos as a business, getting 18k crowds, winning nearly everything and making a profit.

The RL salary cap is, I think, 1.9 million, and I believe that the salary spend when we were in the Premiership was circa 2.6 million. To a ruthless businessman, spending 1.9m and winning everything versus spending 2.6m and getting relegated, means you would get angry. Hence he took his bat and ball home before giving Carnegie a chance to be re-financed or bought as a credible Premiership concern.

I am not aware of any other owner/benefactor who has not given reasonable notice of intention to sell/quit

Where's that imoge for bitter and twisted??????

Maurice Lindsay didn't do a bad job at destroying Orrell.
