Can we actually win a game against Donny on their own ground?

Think I will be making the trip. Looks like the rain ceases around 3, hopefully.

Looking forward to it. Not seen the new guys yet.

Final score Donny 18 Carnegie 20

Hard-earned win, perhaps we are getting a winning habit?

I would have bet good money on Ollie Stedman scoring - and he did!

Good result. YC were the better side in the second half and showed a lot skill closing out the match. Donny moaners were very unhappy people at the end. I heard several YC supporters around the ground.

Can anyone remember the last time we won at Castle Park? I have seen us draw once but never seen a win.

I thought they missed Kiri Kiri upfront, breaking tackles and off loading.

Yes! And having witnessed too many defeats there over the years Iím still grinning

Very good 2nd half, Bit concerned at 10-18 and a man down at half time but we were very composed.

The cup games have been about introducing the new players, but really good to see the 2 young lads - Wolstenholme and Davey coming through and playing well today too.

Think we beat them there in the play-offs a couple of years go didn't we?

We won last time didn't we, when Sky @#$%& up and the match was shown on telly at 4am? But we've been not too bad there recently - 50/50 I'd say since the nine year drought.

Best performance I've seen from the team in ages - and I don't mean
just this season.

Watching the boys coming off the pitch with JB shouting at them to hold off the singing til he got there (cool down for late replacements) to then hear them belting out Marching On Together was a treat in itself.

Ollie Stedman was a massive trouble causer and got away with it, letting others take the flack.

A more impressive performance for our team today. You could tell the quality has lifted. A number stood out for me. Cian was very good at 6. Loads of go forward and big tackles. Thought the new 15 was excellent under the high ball. Wolstenholme has a great pass. With him and Fox has any other club got 2 more promising 9s. Thought Jacob is some player too. Very talented. I would be trying to get him to stay that's for sure!
The scrum performed well but the lineout for me was very slick. Some really good drills and the options gave donny no chance. Temm with some top steals too especially near the end. Match winners those.
Winning at donny is rare and makes for a good drive home.
Lots more to come from this squad, lots!

Absolutely brilliant to read those words JDH, as I know you have high standards and are not easily impressed.

A good drive home from Danny - does it get any better???

Only seen 1 win there almost and that was in the semi was lost on agg! So today was spot on.

The team just had a better feel and balance. Still miles to go mind but heading the right way. Having a strong bench makes a massive difference too.

Looking forward to seeing the team improve.
