Notice on Twitter that Ollie had a congratulatory tweet from Shaun Perry who describes himself thus: Scrum Half specialist coach/mentor. Work at Wasps and Wasps Academy.!!

NB Ex Bristol, Brive, Worcester and England.

I note the last post. Once again the vultures come for our best players. Whilst the player must progress it would be nice to get some loyalty to the people who have helped their progression

Is Shaun the large 9 that played for Bristol?

Clubs will always want the best lads. We have Chris now and I am sure he is doing his best to keep him.

Yes he's the one!

He hasn't gone anywhere yet!

We need to get into the Premiership to give these lads the platform they need to be able to stay with us though.

Not sure Wasps is the biggest threat to losing Ollie-Bath have announced their academy signings and not taking on either of their 2 good 9s. They will only have 3 senior 9s (Chudley,Max Green and Cook), all others are being let go. They had Ollie in last summer for a look round and he is a prodigy of the academy manager.

Let's hope not or the plan will start to fail. If we are serious we must start keeping our best young players. Imo he is much better than green.

A bit sad when our academy manager gets poached and is then used to poach all our future crown jewels.

I think L Irish probably felt the same when Bath hired Toby Booth and several of their jewels followed; JJ, Watson, Homer, Garvey, Lahiff, Sisi.....
The temporary loan of a couple of their academy players should not paper over what is happening-finances of the professional game aside, history is a great teacher.

Money talks and this is just the results we observe. We have also witnessed Wasps, with ex-Leeds coach Lee Blackett, chatting-up our best players when we played at Coventry.

Well what a match! And what a well-balanced commentary and refereeing performance!
