Congratulations on your win today.
Really proud of the Exeter players on show with their heart and determination but ultimately the class and experience in key areas for you coupled with our mistakes (interception try for eg) did for us.
Your defence was exceptional send half.
Enjoy

Agree with Zyder head, a good game but Tigers defence was the game winner. Well done Tigers.

Well done today, you had the experience where it counted at 10, our youngster had an off day, but has a great future.
Great defence, all the best. From a disappointed but optimistic of what's to come, Chief.

Burns was the difference and you're getting rid of him for Ford. Why?

You've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Well played Leicester, Freddie was the difference- his big game experience told and the excellent Joe Simmonds will learn and have his day very soon.
Also very well played Exe and as a neutral I really enjoyed the day out. Good to see you playing your wonderful crop of youngsters and ex academy players, thought Billy Keast and Owlet looked really solid and huge prospects. Max Bodilly is class and must get first team games very soon along with Sam Simmonds who IMO will make an excellent 7. Also the firghteningly powerful Ewers is coming back to full fitness and the rest of the Prem will feel the effects.
Biggest disappointment was the woeful refereeing, for both sides and Exe in particular of the Floundering Foley. Mind you he had Roy 'Clueless' Maybank running the line who was much worse and I believe was demoted for too many awful reffing performances, some ending with players dangerously taking matters into their own hands (or fists) as he was so bad. Says a lot to me how this competition is viewed by the powers that be to put such poor officials in charge.
Similarly the crowd was woefully few and both sides deserved better support. More effort should have been to sell more tickets to ensure a fuller house, ie dropping the price to say a tenner and kids for free.

Did Exeter play that well? Sorry, but the one dimensional game they played cost them IMHO.
Like Idle said on another thread if we'd had the ball that much and continued to bash away for so long without much imagination and without scoring questions should and would have been asked. Compete with Exeter up front and you've very much got the measure of them in my opinion.
Over-rated outfit that get the 'my second favourite club' benefit of the doubt (all IMHO obviously).

I think we should appreciate that the team we picked was a lot stronger than Exeter's! It was only a few weeks ago when we got a taste of how far our 1st team was behind their 1st team

I thought the tickets were pretty fair value. I could have had a £20 but opted for £30. Do agree with Bathoval about the officials but both teams just seemed to want to get on with the game
