Nigel Owens will take charge of Sunday's European fixture between Leicester Tigers and Racing 92 after the Welshman received a late call-up to the match at Paris La Defense Arena on December 9 following an injury to Irish referee Andrew Brace.

Owens will be assisted from the touchline by his countrymen Adam Jones and Wayne Davies, with Simon McDowell the Television Match Official (TMO) for the Round 3 match.

The return fixture at Welford Road on Sunday, December 16 will be refereed by George Clancy from Ireland.

Let joy be unconfined for it is unlikely to be found with Clancy.

That said I have a suspicion that this season the ref may not be the determining factor

The cabaret should be entertaining and a sight cheaper than Les Follies

Can Can; Will Will; Do Do!

Paris is in lockdown again but heard nothing about the game so must assume it is going ahead.
