I don't think any of the other Tigers brothers were "forgotten", however I get the feeling that the article was written by someone with a more "youthful vintage" than some of the players mentioned above!

Also, while not explicitly stated in the article, the author seems to want to include at least 2 brothers from each family mentioned in the article, and for each of them to have won international caps. While Martin Johnson would warrant a place, I don't think Will's calibre would be sufficient to earn him a place in the XV for example.

That said, I think that a Tigers Brothers XV could probably give most other clubs (domestic or international) a run for their money!

How about this for a father and son team. The only seriously out of position players are YBY at fly half and OTY at flanker. Snag is, for a fifteen man team you need one set of father and two brothers - and they're aren't many of those. I couldn't make the Thackers fit so it had to be the Youngs. Anyways..........

1. Nick Drake-Lee
2. Troy Thacker
3. Phil Vesty
4. Tom Berry
5. Bill Bainbridge
6. Ian (Dosser) Smith
7. Tom Youngs
8. Bill Drake-Lee
9. Nick Youngs
10. Ben Youngs
11. John Berry
12. James Bainbridge
13. Charlei Thacker
14. Matt Smith
15. Sam Vesty

Would be my suggested changes to make a bit more of a "natural" team, though I think yours is probably better.

I must admit to have never of heard of the Bainbridges!

Tiger brothers:

15. John Jackett
14. Freddie Tuilagi
13. Manu Tuilagi
12. Joe Ford
11. Alesana Tuilagi
10. George Ford
9. Ben Youngs

1. Stuart Redfern
2. Tom Youngs
3. Setve Redfern
4. Martin Johnson
5. Charles Beamish
6. Will Johnson
7. Richard Jackett
8. George Beamish

Went for some more old school names I could think of! I'm sure Arthur Jones (also former England cricket captain!) and his brother both played for Tigers, and I'm sure if you just went with "their brother also played" you could get quite a good fully capped XV, I couldn't get the Underwoods in as I wanted to use the Tuilagi's to get three brothers but wanted the back rows for other players than Henry.

I like your team better SK - I'd forgotten that Fred was Freddies son and their inclusion allows some better balances elsewhere. I found the Bainbridges in "The Tigers Tale" when searching for possible locks (as I did the Berrys).

BTW a candidate for No8 in this team was John Quick but his Dad was a FH and played only a very few games and I struggled for Props anyway so "needed" Bill D-L.
