Otley's finest playing a blinder!

I refer to N. Melville, who, in a few days, has achieved more than his predecessors achieved in years.

The Ah-eff-you have a CEO who understands rugby. Sign him up on a proper contract. Now!

I feel like there's a sarcasm emoji missing from this. If there isn't there flipping well should be.

Melvilles major contribution so far has been bringing in the ever under-achieving, under-delivering Ryan who promptly fired the U18s coaches (probably our most successful coaches over the past decade) and brought clueless Mallinder into the set-up.

Melville, Empire building sure. Making the RFU better? Hmm ...

I was referring to killing off the concept of suspending relegation, and lobbying for the preservation of the British and Irish Lions.

I was dealing in principles, rather than personalities.

Mind you, the RFU probably needs more onanists with their own favourites - add your own emoji!

NM might even come out in favour of player welfare, then he will have ticked my three boxes for the RFU Chief Executive.
