Have to say, as a Sarries fan, would be well deserving of at least a mid-level ban for his cheap shot in the ruck. Not on.

Red mist scenario and if he's banned no complaints, not a pretty watch.

Agreed, a ban would be fully deserved

Doesnt look good. Perhaps Nigel should downgrade his retirement plan to a caravan or move him into the small bedroom.

Brilliant!

By a margin, his, and a few other players' worst game for years. Only Skelton and occasionally Woolstencroft looked good enough for this level. All IMHO of course.

Fully expecting to see him cited for that tackle and expect a small ban to come.

Mid-range under Regulation 17 Appendix 1 9.20 is 6 weeks. Assuming that he admits it then I would expect a 3 week ban? (maybe 2 weeks if he has a clean record). Surprised it wasn’t picked up as Chudley pointed it out at the time.
Best of luck for the rest of the season - still (with Leinster) the NH team to beat when your full team is available IMO.

Or make him train at the Wasps training ground, Elliott suggested to Mike that taking the ban would be far better ;-)

Watching the game again and Mike just doesn’t seem happy. Maybe the shoulder injury is still not sorted.

48 hours have elapsed. Has MR been cited?

Nigel slipped citing officer a brown paper bag TT,so it's all been forgotten about!

Sets a poor standard if he hasn't been. And I'm a big fan of his.

Are all of the citing officials not on our payroll in our salary-cap-busting world domination masterplan?

Nigel has set up an investment partnership with citing officer; it's called Citing Unseen Novel Transactions...
... I am not sure that Nigel is happy with the acronym

Yes, joking aside, it didn't look very good and doubtless the panel will think the same.
Not that these things are outcome-based (they shouldn't be anyway) but how was Levi Douglas after the incident? Was he able to play on? I was half watching in a pub and I can't remember.

Levi had to go off a little later on in the game but its not clear if that was related to the Rhodes incident.
... IMHO, of course.

Thanks for that, Joe. I didn't have a chance to watch the incidents again until last night.
Both the Rhodes and Kalamafoni incidents were pretty ugly and both deserved sanction. Well done to Levi for fronting up which probably saved Rhodes from punishment (at the time!). Let's hope he's ok. Josh Beaumont collapsed like the proverbial in the Sale Tigers match (which is always disappointing to see) which is I guess why the immediate outcome there was different. That said, it was Carley "reffing" again in that game and I remember he did a passable impression of a Sale season-ticket holder when we played there.
