I think he can consider himself lucky. He can only have done it out of frustration, as he had no chance of shifting the defender. Thankfully for Levi Douglas MR didn't fly in at full throttle from yards away - as it was, a sending off would have been fully justified, and IMO we couldn't really beef had he been handed the full six weeks. It was nasty.

Mike always pays on the edge of the edge, and this time he has been rightly punished. I don't think he's been anywhere near the form of a couple of years ago, perhaps due to the injuries he's suffered, and this may have lead to frustration on his part.
At the moment I think our most balanced back row is Ben Earl, Jacko and Billy. I know Ben is still a bit raw but he's added speed, dynamism and turn over potential this season.

Agreed Eric. Ben's enthusiasm reminds me of Andy Saull at his best.

Quote:Anyone got a clip of said clearout? The commentators mentioned a particularly effective clearout by Rhodes at one point, but I never saw a replay of it.joethefanaticQuote:P G Tips
Jackson Wilson seemed pretty incensed about a later Rhodes clearout too- and left for HIA shortly after - though I don't think that was included in the citing.
PG
Jackson Willison now out for the season as a direct result of Rhodes' "attentions".
Thanks for that.

If it's the other one the BT team showed and talked about at the end of the match, it was right on the edge but seemed legal to me (and the ref, citing officer & BT pundits). I believe Bath have stood Willison down from the team for the remainder of the campaign as it's his 4th HIA this season, even though the Bath medical team have said there were no major affects so could probably follow the standard RTP pathway. I don't believe this is in the World Rugby concussions guidelines (please correct me if wrong), so Bath are to be applauded for this IMO.

Agree, that's a smart move by Bath and very commendable

I really don't know what he's trying to achieve with the first one, and isn't the second one in at the side at the very least?
