Apparently Robson is unwell so Ben Spencer will be on the bench for the Calcutta Cup. Congratulations to him

I hope Jones gives him more time than Robson because we are in really poor frame if we have no backup to Youngs.
I really think the scrum position is up for grabs but think Youngs... By virtual of experience alone, will hang onto the world cup.

I agree JT, but as Eddie appears to have had almost no idea of whom to select for a settled 23, after several years in the job, why should we expect now planning for the loss of experienced depth in any position? After all, he spent two years trying to play Owen at 12 because he couldn't work out what he wanted from that position, and only now has decided that Owen was a 10 all along. He couldn't decide what he wanted from his flankers and wasted two season trying to convert his best locks into flankers, thereby wasting the opportunities for game-time that the flankers he now wants really needed.

Big congratulations to Ben. So hoping that he gets a decent amount of time on the pitch. And shows what he is capable of.
To be honest I have been baying for Robson to get a decent amount of time on the pitch, but it seems Eddie wasn't listening. And whatever the illness/injury (depends who you listen to) that is keeping him out of Saturday's game I sympathise on a personal level.
Looking on the bright side, at least Eddie has gone with 'the future' rather than going with the 'tried and tested'.

Having said that... If he wants kick chase game then none better than Wigglesworth... Who is also a better passer too....well, better all round player than Youngs full stop, imv
I hope one of the 9's steps up....but you have got to give them a game first.
Don't get me started on Jones....lol

We’ll probably see Cockanasigna playing at scrum half before Ben gets on...
