Back to the subject.

Does anyone know what happened to the fool on the pitch?

Was this meant to be ironic or did it just happen by accident?

There's a world of difference between frustration and venting seldom or on a one-off basis and it being how you habitually post. HS is a top bloke.

Interesting posts Wombles. The game at the Ricoh should be a really good one and hopefully all supporters can enjoy the experience.

Really surprised that the Daily Mail hasn't yet come out with an article about how Billy V lured a Munster supporter out of the crowd then made him insult him ...

It was still incredibly ironic!

I read that during the interview with Johann van Graan, their media guy allegedly interrupted and suggested it was just someone wearing a Munster shirt (i.e.not necessarily one of their supporters).

That's really poor form, matching their fans' behaviour by the sound of things.

Munster have issued the following statement:

“Aligned with EPCR, Munster Rugby do not condone the entry of any spectator to the field of play.

“The incident following the Champions Cup semi-final at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday involved a spectator wearing a Munster jersey.

“The province wishes to confirm that the identified spectator is not a member of the Munster Rugby Supporters Club, and does not hold a season ticket with the province.

“Munster Rugby will investigate the incident further.”

Yes an odd state of affairs where a moron feels he can approach an elite athlete and give him life tips. Expect he will confront Paddy Jackson at LI next season with similar advice.

Sounds like a bit of deflection going on here. He may well not be a member of the supporters club nor have a season ticket. But like thousands of others that doesn't mean he's not a Munster fan.

Or it's just to show that he'll be slightly harder to find and ban?

The guy sitting in front of me was a Coventry local and Wasps supporter but he was wearing a Munster shirt.

That's what Meejah Officers are paid for: close down debate when the Head Coach might say something off-message, then issue a carefully worded Press Release.

The next step will be fake news, such as that the bloke's flag was invalid or some such bollox.

Good on Munster for following through on the investigation and for taking firm action. I trust that we and indeed all rugby clubs would do the same in similar circumstances.

Good to see they haven't stuck to the "nothing to do with us" line they seemed to be taking early on.

That was from their Press Officer. It was fair enough at the time.

What is missing from the current statement is any context. Was the individual 'Seamus O'Rourke' from Limerick, 'Tipsy Wasp' from High Wycombe, or 'Viktor Orban' from Székesfehérvár, who is unlikely to visit again.

Stadium bans need to be accompanied by identification on the sanctioned individual - otherwise their enforcement can be neglected without sanction.

Quote ‘With regards to Billy, he like others is entitled to his views, whether we agree to them or not. I am a Christian, andd would like to make clear that the bible does not mention homsexuality. It does not condone hatred of anyone (especially pertinant when we look at the above post). And as a Christian we are directed to respect everyone. Challenges arise when people with far more public attention who hail from more orthodox Christian denominations such as Billy and Folau make these comments, as it goes against direct teachings, generates upset and harms others. This of course does not[/quote]

Commendable post; however for sake of accuracy I refer you to Romans 1:27.
