Agreed, I don't think we could get a better side out than that. Sadly I'll miss the game moving house sad smiley

Agree. Pretty happy with that all around. Thought Dean deserved a start though myself.

Best side we've put out this season, a couple of things different to what I'd like but still.

Is Denton injured? Don't understand otherwise.

Alo has fallen down the pecking order then.

Philips or csw to come on in the backrow?

Wasn’t Denton injured at Quins?

I’d love to see CSW at 6 personally, ala Courtney Lawes. Not sure he’s as mobile though.

As close to a full strength starting line-up as we are likely to see all season. For me only Olivier and Denton would improve that 15.

Yup Denton aside that’s pretty much our best starting fifteen, so time for a win!

Genuinely think we have a superior back line on match day. It’ll be won or lost up front. Northampton are a good side but have taken some batterings and looked unconvincing at times this season.

At home with a strong side I’d expect us to target this one as our first win.

Bags of ability in that Saints side still

And as said above, that side is very close to strongest physically possible.

Quite like to see T'eo in with Hougaard and Lance, just to see if it can unlock the sort of things we saw for the Lions

I can on summise that Alo is injured, as he was given star billing by Gold before the Euro / AWC break.

Yeap, time to win indeed.

9,10,12 and 13 will be literally and metaphorically pivotal tomorrow, and i'm not convinced it would be improved with T'eo in it if i'm honest.

I agree that on paper the team looks very good - absences because of injury are much reduced.

The one problem that I can see is that Nos 9, 10 and 12 haven't played together before. It will take time to click especially as Hougaard and Mills are coming back from their own injuries. We perhaps shouldn't expect too much.

But that said their individual talents are considerable and I'm looking forward to giving my post steak pie and mash support.

Willison is consistent but if you put Teo at 13 in that backline I think that’s about as good as it gets. Willison is a distributor like Mills, but not quite as good. Need Teo in there to provide the power and offloads

That's possibly the best side weve had for a couple of seasons. 9, 10, 12 Is class!

Te'o would offer a different option to mills and willison.

Hopefully get our first win tomorrow!

I know the fan base has taken against him, and there is generally no way back from that no matter what you do.

But he was a stand out performer on a drawn Lions Tour of New Zealand - he is a benefit to any team if used right.

That's a good saints side, we've lost to worse sides this season so let's hope our returnees improve us as much as we hope

He is away with USA same as Big Joe!

He was also then dropped by the Lions because he butchered a try and they felt it limited their back line i.e. he made us predictable and one dimensional...the coaches words. But I agree when used properly he is a class act.
