The idea of a settled coaching team here for the medium term is an attractive one.

A settled coaching team is as important as getting in the right coaches to begin with, if you want to be successful.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Tigers finished 11th last season, after 2-3 seasons of coaching 'turbulence'.

Whatever you do, do it safely!

Whilst attractive I think the word is essential.

Let's hope it does get extended AND if all works well he becomes our next DoR.

A miracle of consistency for our club.

He's not "in talks" yet, but they'll need to get a move on:

Southern Kings will not have a black SA head coach come the next Pro 14 season.

The following people have been shortlisted:

Rory Duncan
Corne van Zyl
Steve Jackson

No smoke without fire?

We might have to fight hard to keep him.

Reading a bit further into the Southern Kings story, he made the shortlist having been interviewed, and it would appear on the surface that all those interviewed had applied for the job, so he is/was obviously interested. Given that the club's owners are The Greatest Rugby Company in the Whole Wide World, the temptation is understandable I suppose!

IF HE DID APPLY THEN HE WANTS IT.

If he is offered it he WILL take it, no matter what he is offered here.

Ah JP, I wish I could read other people's minds!

I can't fault JP's logic, you don't apply for a job if you're happy in the one you have. Failing that, are the club happy with Duncan? Always two sides to a story. (ps. I have no insider knowledge of anything at all).
