Reports today that Cardiff Blues are linked with Ospreys lock, James Ratti.
The player has been released by Ospreys and has been playing for Swansea RFC

Seen him play only a handful of times and is decent but seems light and has struck me as a 6 not a lock. What’s your thoughts?

So not quite the big, gnarled, physical powerhouse we were hoping to get.

Not from what I have seen. But I have only seen a handful of times so might be wrong. You’re right though a big compromising customer is what we need. A Kev Edwards, Craig Quinnell and Tony Rees type. But finances as are guess nobody in our price range.

Been confirmed tonight that Ratti has indeed signed for Cardiff Blues. As part of his development will also play some games for Cardiff RFC

Seems wires have got crossed. He's going to be a CRFC player but involved with the A team. So sort of a trial.

we need a second row with some go power in them , never seen this ratti play but just seems another like thornton and davies would be cheaper to get rid of thornton dont sign this ratti and go for a decent second row

by the signings we have made so far seems another season to come with a lot of very average signings not showing any real ambition are the blues

The back three and centres are a match for most. If Evans gets a good amount of games in at 10, international call ups and injuries allowing then the back line looks very dangerous. The issue as has been for a few years is the front five. We need Arhip back to his best and others need to step up. Back row looks good as well with all available and hopefully Boyde and Navidi can help the workload for Williams at 8. But the Achilles heel no doubt is that front five.
