Sean Lineen the former Glasgow Warriors and current Scotland U20 Head Coach will be joining LS tomorrow as the clubs new Director of Rugby. He will be joined by Roddy Grant the former Edinburgh player who retired from the game last month. The new arrivals will work alongside the current Head Coach Peter Richards. It has been clear this season that the input from a wise old rugby head has been missing.

The Rugby Paper today also claimed that the coaching restructuring setup at LS could pave the way to LS joining the Pro12 league as the third professional Scottish team in the league. It also reported that further players from Glasgow & Edinburgh will be moving South to join the club for the remainder of the season.

They are lucky that they have the City of London Institutions and Banks backing them with funds.
They struggle with attendances at home games.

If both exiles teams go their separate ways I guess some restructuring of our own leagues will need to be done, lets hope that the AP don't shut that door to promotion as an excuse to really ring fence the premiership.

The Rugby Paper also suggested today that Scottish are trying to bolster their squad to avoid a further relegation struggle this season by getting some players in from Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh. There has been an unconfirmed rumour that if London Welsh move to the Pro 12 for next season then two sides will come up from National One. Scottish are not expected to move across to the Pro 12 next season.

Anyone know if there are any restrictions on players coming to the Championship from the Pro 12 or any other league administered by a body other than the RFU?
