Article on BBC rugby that Jersey have received a payment of 150k from their government so that they can finish the season. They have had previous financial problems and are currently making an operating loss of 300k per season.

Had read the article myself. A few years ago when Jersey arrived in the Championship all appeared well financially and all of sudden seem to be having money issues. Over the years they have produced many good players which get snatched up by Premier teams each season and Harvey is doing a good job also.

Harvey is doing a good job on field with results.Not sure he has managed the Player Budget very well as DOR off field.

There'd be hell up in Cornwall if any public money was used to prop up The Pirates - there's plenty of moaning about the match funding which kicks in of the government ever get their collective finger out and stump up the promised money.
