BC needs your help and money!

On Sunday 4th Oct (Yes its the Bristol away game!) BC will be taking part in a world record attempt for the biggest gathering of team mascots being held at Huntingdon Race course in Cambridgeshire.

The reason for the gathering is the annual Mascots Grand National. BC will be racing other mascots over a 220 yard course and 6 hurdles!

With so many Chiefs fans at all home games, BC would like to raise £1,000 to be shared between Vranch House and Help For Heroes.

If every Chiefs Fan gave 50p, then BC would raise over £2000, so dig deep and help BC help some very worthwhile causes!

For details of how to sponsor BC keep an eye on the Offy site and here, of course.

BC thanks all great Chiefs Fans in advance!(Sm152)

PRESS RELEASE

BIG CHIEF WARMS UP FOR GRAND NATIONAL

Exeter Chiefs’ mascot Big Chief will compete in the Mascots’ Grand National at Huntingdon Racecourse for the first time this year.

The big man will join the rest of the football and rugby mascots for the much-heralded event on Sunday, October 4, when the organisers will be hoping to break the world record for the largest gathering of mascots.

The race will be held on the racecourse and will cover one furlong (220 yards), incorporating six hurdles. It will start at 1.10pm.
Big Chief will be raising money for the race’s charity, the Willow Foundation, as well as the club’s charity, Vranch House and Help for Heroes. Sponsorship forms can be found at Sandy Park’s ticket office.

There's a nice picture of Big Chief taking part in the charity race, on the second page of the Mirror today, does anybody know where he finished?

BC is now resting after his "marathon" (Sm124)

The fact that the front runners were wearing trainers may have had something to do with the result!

Thank you to all the Tribe for sponsorship. BC will still be collecting on Saturday at the LW match for anyone who would like to donate to Vranch House.

BC will also dispute the story in tonights E&E that Roary from Exe FC came second - BC has video evidence that he only just finished ahead of BC(Sm102)

Email to the E&E has been sent to put the record straight!(Sm122)
