English and Celtic Lions

This tour is madness and manly about making money, about ten games in the summer leaving players burned out and lots break down in the rolling season.

I hope no Exeter play ends up on this tour as some dirt tracker.

I hope Mr Jones has stopped any EPS player going. If someone outside the EPS like Toby Flood then no problem.

The England team is a work in progress and needs game time so when the next World Cup comes around we know our best 15, not like last time.

But the maddest thing of all is letting England coaches go on tour giving all our ideas to the welsh coach.

I will be shouted at for this, but Lions tours apart from a good jolly have had there day.
No need for them.

If the Lions were a force for good they would be touring the Pacific Islands or Argentina

Personally I am already bored of talk about the Lions and the build up.
I will watch the test matches with interest but won't get excited about them win or lose.
The Lions is now a commercial money making business that is shafting the players through the fixture list and pandering to Kiwis wishes.
The England tour of Argentina minus most of our best players will be much more interesting to me.

Currently its been rumored that there are a number of England players due to miss out on Selection.

Haskell, Brown, Launchbury and Joespeh are the names being tossed about as missing the grade. While Welsh Centre Jamie Roberts is on the supposed selection list.

So it seems that once again Gatland is again going to pick too many welshmen..

Englands tour for me is going to take priority.........

Telegraph this morning reckon Hartley not going bit Jack Nowell is. Agree with many above the build up has become tedious and I think the itinerary for the tour is detrimental to players welfare.
Taking Roberts is ridiculous, he has been a great player for Wales and the Lions in the past but looks a shadow of his former self of late.

Brutal tour for weary players ate the end of a season. Going to be a lot of injuries. Fingers crossed any of our players selected (i.e. Jack?) comes back in one piece.

Can't say I agree with many of the sentiments raised today but hey!

Lions commercialism is necessary because players are professional and have to be paid.

Ask every international player from the home unions if he would like to be a Lion whether paid or not. Let me know if you find one that says no.

I have been involved in rugby now for too many years to remember and know personally dozens of Lions from all four nations and a Lions tour was the crowning glory for all.

I have also followed the Lions on tour and it doesn't come cheap but it still remains amongst the bet money I have ever spent.

If Jack is selected he will still have a smile on his face when he steps out to face Saints.

Get real, get up early for the games and enjoy it.
