Keighley Cougars ( Away ) Sunday

So we go again.

Tough game against a side wanting to be in the top 5.

Keighley got off to a good start in their last game taking a 14 points lead at Doncaster before losing 29-20.

It seems half back Matty Beharrall was injured during the game leaving them with only Benn Hardcastle the only fit recognised half.Be interesting to see what they do.

A pair of good centres in Perry Whiteley and Adam Ryder and a useful pack including Darrell Griffin.

The referee will be C Worsley.

First win of the season, for us,coming up...

Task for the day
Put the words "on" and "dream" into a sentence to make a well known saying.

It appears as though the former assistant coach to John Kear,at Batley Bulldogs,Mr Lingard

agrees with you,He Doesn't Think We'll Get On The Scoreboard

Having just re-read your original posting CI I overlooked you said "next win coming up..." and not ".... coming up against Keighley", so I think we can all echo that sentiment. Just make sure that "coming up" is not too far round the corner WWR are turning.

Interesting article though, it seems that the ambition for the others is no longer to beat WWR but to "nil them" and by implication run up a score at the other end.

That curve better come to an end soon..........

This in a nutshell summarises the problem, the club as the article points out and as highlighted by jd and CI are not even viewed as opposition just as practice fodder.

Holy Moses how many other times have you heard the coach of a club saying that they don't think the opposition will score? For me never...

It's insulting (even if it is true!)

The squads aren't on the RFL site, but they are on the Keighley preview.

Turns out to be Family Day on Sunday, and Garry Schofield has been visiting schools in the area.

Once again there are changes to our squad.

+82 on skybet today.

Not sure whether to go for it. Had a successful “bad day for Australia” bet yesterday with a treble on France football, Ireland RU and England cricket though sadly all three short odds wins.

Incidentally, there cannot be too many occasions when a nation has been simultaneously playing three internationals as Aus were from about 11am for an hour or so. Anyone know better?

I am going to have a fiver on WWR at +82.

Good point re the Aussies playing in three full internationals at virtually the same time..

Hopefully some of the new faces at WWR will make a difference and we will "get the rub of the green" and the ref will "not cost us too many points".
