Will be,at the time of writing,an eleven side competition.

With 2 clubs,Bradford and York,leaving,on promotion,to The Championship.

without any club being relegated

Hemel Stags have now left the competition.

The RFL state that they will confirm fixtures for an 11 side league

HERE

However,journalist John Davidson,on Twitter,has suggested Mr Perez,he of Toronto

Wolfpack, may take a Boston based club into League 1

I can't see it,myself, but as this is rugby league, anything is possible

Rumour(s)

I hope our club is preparing for the future without funding from the governing body.

The sport is shrinking annually.

What has happened to Hemel?

"In October 2018 the club announced that they were withdrawing from the league for 2019 with a view to possibly returning in 2020 and for 2019 the club had applied to join the Southern Conference competition to be launched in the spring of 2019.."

Bristol will not be in League One in 2019 or from what I can see in 2020, 2021....

You kind of suspect that Hemel's stated desire to return may go the same way.

It's looking like Leigh Centurions may be in serious trouble and the longer it is dragged out the Super League club from 2017 may be in League 1 in 2019.

Whitehaven may be coming out of 'special measures ' and could be making some signings

but Keighley Cougars have had players leave without making any signings.

I wouldn't be surprised if the publication of fixtures for 2019 is delayed a tad.

Just a quick update.

Keighley Cougars should have paid their players for missed payments over the last 2 days.

Leigh Centruions are in special measures and cannot sign players/have their signings registered, and 2 players are refusing to accept pay-offs.Fulfilling their contracts would be 40% of the 2019 budget.

No one yet willing to purchase the club.

The club would just be the players as the LSV is rented - when the rent is paid, which it is by Man United Ladies.

The fixture list, out in a fortnight, apparently, will be interesting.

It noe appears as though the fixtures for the 2019 campaign will not be released until the last Sunday of this month.

Leigh Centurions and their future would appear to be the problem.

It may make the purchase of a West Wales Raiders season ticket even better value.

Rugby League is such a smooth running sport.(Sm6)

I was getting my hopes up that Leigh Centurions may re-start in League 1.

Now it seems possible that Keighley may be lost.

When former directors, and players go public with criticism

it don't augur well.

Also paid costs for Fielding Ineligible Player(s)? On 2 Occasions

But,we are playing the midweek games in the 1895 Cup

Never a dull moment.Still,we keep in the news,so we remain in the public eye...

@#$%&! Surely the penalty for a transgression last season should have been on last years total. Itís almost, cynically, as if someone is trying the stifle the re-birth before itís begun.

The RFL statement in full.

"The Rugby Football League have imposed a retrospective four-point deduction on West Wales Raiders for the 2018 season, after they were found to have played an ineligible player in two of their Betfred League One fixtures.

The club lost both the games Ė against Hemel Stags on July 29, and York City Knights on August 11.

The club pleaded guilty to breaching a number of Operational Rules regarding the fielding of ineligible players.

In pleading guilty the club have reached an Agreed Decision with the RFL and have accepted the four-point deduction. In addition the club have been ordered to pay the costs of the investigation, and warned as to their future conduct."

The patchwork quilt of rugby league continues.

League 1 clubs will not have the Golden Point in League 1 games - but will in the Challenge Cup games.

Less interchanges - no more ' Free Play '

My bad, I misread the posting as saying it was carried into next year. Thanks for setting me straight.
