Ally Hogg has confirmed via the rugby paper that he has signed a 1 year deal for next season
Also confirms that he will take over from Micky Ward at Blaydon with Matt Thompson as forwards coach and Mark Wilson helping out with defence

A class act who was still at the top of his game last season , good to hear he will be at KP next season.

A class act indeed and a welcome continued addition to the squad for next season. His experience and quality will be nothing but beneficial to the new lads coming in (Burrows and Garham in particular), and to the continued development of Callum Chick.

That experience he has will help the younger back rowers, he is still a solid player also. smiling smiley

I must have missed the official club announcement of this.......

Obviously the re-signing of such an influential player and club stalwart would have been trumpeted from the roof tops...... there's no way the club would be so 'forgetful' as to allow it to go unnoticed.......

Or would they????

Happy to clarify that Hoggy has indeed signed for another season. I was going to announce it at the end of the season but he was away for a month, then I was away for three weeks, and he was doing the Rugby Paper interview in any case so we thought it would make a nice exclusive for them.

In the grand scheme of things we would of course do these things via official release, but in this case we made an exception. Apologies for any distress/offence caused.
