Coventry City open letter to fans regarding Ricoh

The letter- []

Just seen this tweeted and in short itís basically stating all that has become public over the last few days:

-The Councilís covenant to secure the future of the Cityís then 131 year old football club would have an expiry date and time limit of just four years

- Legal action doesnít look close to stopping.

- No deal means no club next year.

The letter appears to point fingers at wasps for refusing a deal despite clear notice that legal action prevents doing so.

It also says that legal action hasnít prevented deals in the past so why should it now?

Just doesnít sit right that they blame wasps and not SISU but itís interesting that all the Twitter comments from Cov fans were against Sisu and the club for gambling the future over legal action and the stadium. The SBT page may appear to be a minority and we could see more cov fans protesting against Sisu and trying to form a closer relationship with wasps

Maybe they should write to Joy!

CCFC are well aware if the status quo.

It is simple and very clear.

If their owners do not want to end the legal hostilities then CCFC know that they are down the tubes.

Incredible. Wasps have repeatedly stated publicly that we are more than happy to have Coventry City use the ground, we have been entirely accommodating and have tried to respect the legacy of the football club in and around the ground. However it's entirely reasonable to say that the arrangement will stop after this season if the football clubs owners don't stop legal action. anyone who thinks otherwise is living on another planet. Can you imagine being happy to have a tenant in your own house taking you to court over your ownership of your own property???? Would you let them live there indefinitely? It was extremely generous to give them 12 months notice, plenty of time to give up on the lost cause that their ridiculous legal action has been proved to be time and time again.

This is SISU trying to twist popular opinion against Wasps, nothing more, nothing less.

Remember the EFL require clubs to inform them where they are playing next season just after New Year (Jan/Feb). Signs of panic methinks. Fisher MD of CCFC is also a Director of the bit of SISU named in the legal action. Good luck to them.

This is nothing new and seems like a way of diverting attention away from SISU and their responsibility for the club they own and run. This goes along with their divisive behaviour that has been in play throughout their ownership of the football club and unfortunately a few fans get sucked into the whole show.

SISU really don't care and don't seem to have any qualms about risking the future of the football club, and when so many fans fall for the BS that it is someone else's fault they must be killing themselves that they can do the same thing over and over again.

I really hope this doesn't bring us down and that both the football and rugby teams who play at the Ricoh can get through this and prosper.

As a Wasps supporter, since we have been dragged into the courts through the second Judicial Review it seems like what was a good news story around our move is becoming more and more difficult. What I would give to get rid of the stain of SISU and get some positive discussion and news...
