Find that quite an exciting squad. The guy from L Irish is a beast on the wing. Seen him.this season and he looks good.

Odd that Yarde is not involved after being in 6 nations squads. Can't believe Wade isn't either.

No space for Wallace either, and Kieran Brookes has fallen from grace.

Not heard of a few of them. Could anyone shed any light on what positions the following play:

Ben Curry (Sale Sharks, uncapped)
Tom Curry (Sale Sharks, uncapped)
Nick Isiekwe (Saracens, uncapped)
Harry Williams (Exeter Chiefs, uncapped)

Joe Cokanasiga (London Irish, uncapped)
Piers Francis (Auckland Blues/Northampton Saints, uncapped)
Sam James (Sale Sharks, uncapped)
Jack Maunder (Exeter Chiefs, uncapped)

Now, who was it that was telling me on another thread that Roberts is so much better than Marchant, and that part of the argument is that Roberts made his Wales debut at 21.

Marchant will still be 20 when the games happen in June.

Curry brothers are back rowers, cokanasiga is a winger, isiekwe is a lock, they are all eng u20s (which is a blow for the u 20 world cup). Francis is a centre/fh who is English but players for the blues in Auckland. Good player.

Personally I really don't see the point in Brown, Care, Robshaw, Haskell, Hartley etc touring.

I guess, but better off doing a Ryan Grant and going on holiday to NZ for those weeks!

Also, someone else just pointed out, no Robson, Roko or Taylor

Also no sign of our new signing, Boyce. Not saying he should be there though.

Care and Maunder the only 9s?

I can understand the senior players touring to mentor the newbies. Also, if they are match fit and in southern hemisphere might help chances of a lions call as injury replacements?

A friend who has links to Sale was raving about the Curry brothers recently. Tried to tell me they will be nucleus of the future England back row as they are so much better than anyone else around (potentially). I suggested that Clifford and Chisholm may be in the mix too. Ironically he knew little about Chis. I guess we do get to see our own players in something of a bubble.

It's not an "A" tour. We do not want to lose. Argentina are no joke.

Time will tell. Personally I think it'll be an Argentina 3rds team but we'll see.

Surprised Dave Ewers didn't get the call - he may be coming back from injury, but he's pretty solid and against Argentina, would be a bonus - but EJ knows what he is doing...

Matches are 2 months before the Four Nations - experiment time (for both) + Lions reserves (for England).

My understanding is that there is a gentleman's agreement between the management teams to ensure that the sides match up correctly. Shouldn't be a landslide for either team.

Good news for all selected.

I think he has had to take some of the star names and leaders to give a strong core to the team whilst blooding the youngsters in what will be hard rugby.

Feel for the likes of Roko, Wade et al however maybe EJ feels he knows what they offer and they are not core to the team like others and have missed out so he can see what else is on offer for next 6N and World cup in 2019 - Better to have more tried and tested than rely on a few.

All IMHO.

Just noticed Solomona is included. I'm a bit disappointed with that to be honest.

No point taking Wade, Yarde, Roko etc -- they aren't in the current team and they aren't the future.

I find it odd that we have 3 vice captains in the backs. I don't see the point.

Think we crossed that line already with Hughes.
