New tweet from Quins suggest we will have some signing news tomorrow. Maybe new General manager announced or new signing, although haven't heard many concrete rumours on either. Hopefully it will be exciting whatever it is!!!

Ben Ryan as GM would be nice! Although that would be a biggie...in which case I think we might have heard about it through one source or another by now?!

They have signed up the company who were going to build trumps wall as we need a wall on our try line as there is no other defence.

So at the moment, we have a new Head Rugby Coach, but he's away coaching England & wont start for at least another two weeks. If (arniepie) is correct, we dont have a Forwards Coach, Skills Coach, Defence Coach, in place yet for the coming season. Neither do we have the anticipated General Manager. We also desperately need a big athletic ball carrying No8 plus a couple of 2nd row Forwards. Thats a lot of signings to be sorted out yet. Lets hope for positive news!

We donít need all those coaching positions, weíve never had so many coaches - and it didnít work. So I hope we donít sign an equal number of replacements.

Gustard was clear he was in constant touch with club and was setting out what he wants from training. Heíll be there with more than two months to go until season starts.

Donít think we desperately need an 8 compared to a 4/5, a 2 and a 9. But weíve got a pretty full squad so donít hold your breath.

That said Iíd be surprised if they are trailing negative news so Iím sure itíll be positive.

Plus the first few weeks of pre-season are typically fitness based rather than tactics/defensive systems/scrumming/etc.

Gustard is in effect working out his notice with England, which in any other industry would be expected. It could well have been part of the deal that England agreed with Quins that we could have him on the proviso that he was to still do the SA tour that was only a matter of weeks away when he was announced.

Seeing that Gustard is out in South Africa, he might as well do some local shopping & pick up a big 2nd row & the big ball carrying back row he talked about. Dream on.....

The commentary on Saturday mentioned that Duane Vermuelen is currently without a club.

Itís Billy Millard as GM. So now we can all calm down about how the club has messed up.

Or one of us can.

Indeed. Originally was leaving Toulon to go home, but that never got confirmed. Everyone assumed heíd go back to the Stormers, but he hasnít (yet). Talk of Japan etc. Sign him up!!
