It's off to Lady Bay tomorrow night to take on Nottingham in the Championship .. a quick opportunity to put the B&I semi behind us.
Trailfinders were good value for the 36-16 win on their own patch with their backs quick to seize on any opportunity.
It all fell to pieces in the first half with three tries in eight minutes - the first from a driving maul followed by a Luke Carter try then the killer from Harry Casson. Daniels. All of a sudden we were 26-6 down and never recovered.
Amazingly only one of Saturday's starting line-up will also start at Lady Park. Josh Buggea will be in the back row.
In the backs Elliot Clements-Hill, Chris Czekaj, Ryan Hutler, Harry Sheppard and Jordan Burns all start .There's a new front row in Camilo Parilli-Ocampo, George Edgson and Alex Penny , Ed Taylor and Paul Tupai are in the second row ( and Ben Adams at Number 8. The Blues welcome dual-registered Saracens players Matt Gallagher, Rotimi Segun and Jack Nay all figure.
Blues: 15. Matt Gallagher 14. Elliot Clement-Hill 13. Rotimi Segun 12. Chris Czekaj 11. Ryan Hutler 10. Harry Sheppard 9. Jordan Burns 1. Camilo Parilli-Ocampo 2. George Edgson 3. Alex Penny 4. Ed Taylor 5. Paul Tupai 6. Jack Nay 7. Josh Buggea 8. Ben Adams

Pirates fan in peace. Wow guys, we didn't see that coming and had heard you were all guns blazing for 3rd spot and the prize money. Still good of you to make it an interesting final afternoon. We have the small matter of Ealing to get past if we are to overhaul you and are hoping they are thinking about the cup final. In any event I think we will win, we should have done twice already, and the history suggests a high scoring game so a chance of 5pts.
Actually I don't think it will matter and you are too good to slip up again and against Richmond. They looked like they had had enough after an hour at our place the other week. Got punchy - sure sign.
The one thing we might not want to say too loudly is if we both make a mess of it Yorks and Jersey could yet get past us.
We kick off at 230 so you will know that much before the end, otherwise calculators out.
Best of luck guys and see you next season
Right... we had to put a weakened team out as you can't expect the best team to play 3 matches in 7 days!
I believe players are actually capped at how many minutes they are allowed to play in a week or certainly a few days as well.
If you look at the team some haven't played much rugby, some haven't even played for us for a long time or if at all.
That back line was a total mishmash and Sheppard had to come off injured on a stretcher after 35 mins for Hutchinson a centre. A full back playing at 12, an academy player on the wing and 2 dual registered players.

Shame we couldn't have nicked the fourth try bonus at the end, but have to go all out for a 5 pointer Saturday now.
Must have been tough for the boys playing as they probably hadn't even trained together, but what else could we do 3 days after a tough semi-final. Sounds like Clements-Hill has made a case for starting on Saturday at least?
Hopefully Richmond already on the beach as our Cornish visitor suggests!
Mr Rayer was wrong to make so many changes for a crucial match. If that was always the plan then the club should have made a formal announcement as some may have saved their hard earned cash and stayed at home.
Richmond will be gunning for us on Saturday thatís for sure.

The Performance last night was expected as I felt that to many changes were made to the team and with loan players coming in too; we were never going to have time to gel re moves, calls understanding. Changes had to be made though, due to the short turn around in games this week. Under rfu rules no player is allowed to play more then 80 minutes in a week. So those that played the 80 against Ealing, couldnít play on Tuesday, hence the changes. So not really mikes fault, but more a management issue of players minutes in the previous games. Re last nights game it wasnít great as we know & in all honesty we did actually build ourselves into the game by the end, but it was put out of our reach with the pathetic first half performance. Plus it didnít help that one of our best tacklers was laid out & left the field on a stretcher. Happy to see from his tweet that he is ok today and nothing serious happened.
Last nights game was always going to be hard with a makeshift team, so letís put it to bed and look forward to saturdays big match where we know that that team will hopefully be at full strength baring young Sheppard who I assume will now miss it. Cmon you blues !!!!!
Is it games won, points difference or bonus points that decides the table? Pirates are home to Trailfinders with 1 point separating 3rd spot. Jersey 5th on 60 points at Doncaster are stil in the hunt. Blues need a 5 point win to guarantee 3rd.
