Another Big Score?

Remember that 52-52 draw with Scottish last season Well what would be the odds on another high scoring draw this week?

That was at the Athletic Ground, but there's  no reason why we shouldn't have another Points Fest at Goldington Road.

There will be enfroced changes to the Blues line up by virtue of the unfortunate Camilo Parilli-Ocampo breaking his leg in the defeat at Irish last week and  Harry Davies suffering a head injury

Dean Adamson and skipper Lee Dickson return to the backs; Sean McCarthy and Alex Penny come into the front row and Will Carrick-Smith is in the second row. Prop Hayden King could make his Blues debut from the bench as could Jacob Atkins who has signed as fly half cover from Irish.

Blues:  15. Rich Lane 14. Ryan Hutler 13. Jamie Elliott  12. Lewis Robling 11. Dean Adamson 10. Ed Coulson 9. Lee Dickson (capt) 1. Sean McCarthy2. Jacob Fields 3. Alex Penny 4. Will Carrick-Smith 5. Oli Curry 6. Alex Rae 7. Josh Buggea 8. Jarad Williams

Reps; Tadgh McElroy,  Hayden King,  Ben Cooper, Ed Taylor, Huw Worthington, James Lennon,  Jacob Atkins

Even with the injuries it still looks like a strong team looking forward to a win and hopefully 5 points.

How many players are now injured and how long are they likely to be out of action.
Every time you blink another player is hurt in some way or another.

If todayís games anything to go by then we are in for a long season, with very little to smile about........now you might have a different view to mine on todays game and I would love to hear it.......

Great start with Dean's 95 yard interception try, and a decent first half. Scottish were lively and they maintained that through out and credit to them.
Second half was disappointing with lost possession and LS attacks down our left side porely defendend. Moments of individual brilliance, Rich Lanes run for Hutlers try were not enough.
Pen to draw was turned down and I completely agree with that decision. Scots knock on ends the game. Ref says not deliberate so that's it.
Hopefully that's one that got away and not the season ahead.

Thought we were in control of the game in the 1st half but they seemed to start better than us in the 2nd and really grew into the game. Agree about going for the 5 points at the end couldnít see if the knock on was deliberate or not. The worrying thing for me was the lack of tackling, similar to the Cov game. On the upside I thought the 3 debutants did okay and that this was one that got away, we will improve as we get some of our regular players back.

Deano was sick, thatís why he left the field. Apparently a bug has gone through the team during the week and a cancellation was requested, but the RFU turned it down. As if the injury list wasnít enough. Agreed with scrum decision. I canít see us levelling out from this spell for another month; not until there is a stable set of backs, playing in normal positions.

Fancy us at Leeds next week they appear to be in turmoil. Still think we will finish in the top 4.

Get the injuries sorted, the team will then gel and we will storm into the top four.
