We are back on familiar territory for our first ever Pool game in the new Championship Cup which we are said to be taking very seriously - or at least the Chairman is.

Cornish Pirates are tough on their own track and we make plenty of changes.

Chris Czekaj makes his first start of the season at centre and  Harry Davies starts at fullback, Ed Coulson at No 10 and Alex Gliksten  at scrum half.

Up front we have Hayden King at prop, Tadgh McElroy at hooker and Ed Taylor captains the side. On the bench Saints prop Toby Trinder makes his first appearance.

Blues: 15. Harry Davies 14. Ryan Hutler 13. Chris Czekaj 12. Lewis Robling 11. Dean Adamson 10. Ed Coulson 9. Alex Gliksten 1. Hayden King 2. Tadgh McElroy
3. Ben Cooper 4. Ed Taylor (capt) 5. Will Carrick-Smith 6. Oli Curry 7. Jack Nay 8. Huw Worthington

Reps: 16. Charlie Clare 17. Toby Trinder 18. Alex Penny 19. Jarad Williams 20. Justin Blanchet 21. James Lennon 22. Rich Lane

A narrow loss in Cornwall, a safe journey home to all involved...

Sounds like we played well but gave away too many pens and a couple of missed convs cost us the W!!
