Franco Mostert become the latest Springbok to make a start in the Cherry and White when he takes to the field against the Chiefs on Friday night in the return leg of the European Championship Pool game.

The second row will pack down alongside Ed Slater as Johan Ackermann looks to build on last week's epic 29-17 win at Sandy Park.

The Gloucester coach is anticipating a reaction from the visitors and makes six changes in all.

As well as the new pairing at lock Gareth Ecvans comes into the back row and in the backs the experience of Jason Woodward, Charlie Sharples and Billy Twelvetrees is being called upon.

Gloucs: 15. Jason Woodward; 14. Charlie Sharples, 13. Billy Twelvetrees, 12. Owen Williams, 11. Ollie Thorley; 10. Danny Cipriani, 9. Willi Heinz (captain); 1. Josh Hohneck, 2. Jaco Visagie, 3. Fraser Balmain; 4. Ed Slater, 5. Franco Mostert; 6. Freddie Clarke, 7. Gareth Evans, 8. Ben Morgan

Reps: Henry Walker, Alex Seville, Ciaran Knight,  Gerbrandt Grobler, Alex Craig,  Callum Braley,  Matt Banahan,  Tom Hudson.
