NUNEATON'S National Division Three North season began on a losing note in a game they were always chasing. Lions went ahead after only five minutes when ex-Nuns scrum-half Alex Wright went over for a try, converted by Jon Boden. And although fly-half Rickie Aley kicked two penalties from four attempts as Nuns pressed, Jeremy Saxon touched down a forwards try to give Lions a 12-6 lead at

the break.

Saxon's second try and the conversion put Nuns deeper in trouble, and although Aley's third penalty and a Mickey Moore try closed the gap to three points, the home side were unable to make late pressure count -Aley off target with another penalty chance.
