Bees aware that glorious failure means nothing

For Birmingham & Solihull it’s off to Westcombe Park for a fixture that represents the very opposite side of the spectrum to the one they enjoyed last Saturday – and all the motivational issues attendant with such transitions. Where last week Bees performed heroically in front of their biggest home crowd of the season and were massive underdogs against the National League’s most lavishly-funded
tomorrow is an entirely different test.
The somewhat less-than-fevered hotbed of Kentish rugby is their destination and, while their aims of victory do not change, the result must. This weekend there will be no plaudits for glorious failure.
Westcombe Park are no Leeds, the league is no National Trophy and Eugene Martin’s men must adjust tout de suite if they are to ensure Redruth do not extend their lead atop National Two beyond ten points.
