PHIL Maynard has set his sights on retaining as many of his current Coventry squad as possible after the Blue and Whites finished their campaign on a high.Saturday’s rampant 56-29 victory over Tynedale was the Butts Park outfit’s 12th and arguably best of the campaign as things stand they are set for a credible top-half finish.

This sounds like a man who is expecting to stay. Is everyone happy if that's the case?

It sounds like a man who's still employed saying exactly what he would be expected to say at this stage of the season whether he's staying or not.

I would prefer him to move on, but if he has achieved the goals the board set him then he has had a successful season.
The ship seems to have stabilized and the target for next season has to be top 4, but will the budget be there?
Announcements will only come when the dust has settled on this season.

I agree covkid. we are unlikely to find out too much from the board this side of July are we? Whether we as supporters think he has done a good job the decision for him staying or leaving is not ours. All i'd like to think is that there are players already targeted that can come in and give Cov the consistancy they lacked this season! If PM does go who do you thionk realistically would/could come to Cov and get us into the top 4 or beyond?
