COVENTRY RFC & Henley College Coventry Rugby Development Squad continued their winning streak with a hard-earned 28-7 win at KEGS Stourbridge College in the British Colleges Midland Cup.

The first half started at a high intensity with second row Josh McNulty and full-back Luke Barber prominent in a one-sided affair as C&H created a host of chances only for the final pass to go astray.

An excellent break from centre Sam Brown up the right touchline saw him open the scoring as he outpaced the defence to score under the posts, converted by captain Jack Howland.

After the break, Stourbridge forced their way in to the visitors’ 22 but excellent kicking from Howland relieved the pressure before England Colleges prop Harry Smith scored for C&H, converted by Howland.

Brown was sin-binned but C&H defended well and this was rewarded when winger Ryan Coates went over after being put through a gap by centre Rhys Clarke, Howland again converting.
