Head coach Scott Morgan was purring with delight after steering Coventry to an emphatic 47-7 victory over Worthing at the Butts Park Arena.

Back in the side for the first time in two months following injury, Morgan played the whole 80 minutes as dominant Cov reeled off seven tries to consolidate their top five place in National League One.

“I’m very happy with that,” said the Wales second row. “For the first time since mid-December we played rugby that works in this weather.

“It’s been frustrating from the sidelines watching us end up making mistakes in the wrong areas and seeing teams capitalise on that.

“Today the boys followed the game plan all the way, and as a coach you can’t ask for more. We had total clarity in what we were doing.
