This weekend, Rugby league and union fans will have unprecedented access to some of the biggest names in rugby during this weekend’s live games via the globally successful live sports social network, PlayUp.

London - 22 March 2012. This weekend, Rugby league and union fans will have unprecedented access to some of the biggest names in rugby during this weekend’s live games via the globally successful live sports social network, PlayUp.
During Friday night’s Super 15 game, Melbourne Rebels vs Western Force, Drew Mitchell and Quade Cooper will be available in a live game ‘hangout’ within the PlayUp App where they will provide their insights and banter play-by-play as it happens.
The following afternoon during the NSW Waratahs vs Natal Sharks game, Drew Mitchell and James O’Connor will be available in a PlayUp hangout to engage with fans and provide their perspective on the live action.
PlayUp is the first ever mobile-based sports social network that enables sports fans to follow scores and stats from more than 50 leagues worldwide while being able to easily connect and banter with their mates all from the one App.
Rugby League fans won’t miss out either - enjoying the opportunity to interact with Sam Burgess in the app during Sunday afternoon’s match - Melbourne Storm vs Roosters. National star winger, Lote Tuquiri will be available to chat with fans via PlayUp live during the West Tigers vs Raiders match on Monday evening.
This provides a fabulous opportunity for sports fans to get unprecedented access to commentary and insights about the live happenings of games through some of its star players.
Since its launch in 2007, the mobile app now covers 19 sports across 45 countries and is one of the top 10 free sports in 30 countries worldwide – peaking at number two in Australia, as well as number one in Hong Kong and China, three in the USA, four in Korea and India and seven in Japan to name a few.
