The National Express England v Wales Legends Charity Match
The first England Rugby Legends v Wales Rugby Legends took place at the Stoop in a week filled with anticipation of the RWC fixture between England and Wales.
Captained by Colin Charvis and supported by Scott Quinnell and Jonathan Davies the Wales Legends include Shane Williams, Barry Davies, Dafydd James, Gareth Thomas, Gareth Davies, Mark Taylor, Rhys Thomas and Layton Phillips.
The England Legends were managed by Jason Leonard and include Iain Balshaw, Lewis Moody, Mike Tindall, Andy Gomarsall, Kevin Yates, Sam Vesty, Ollie Phillips, Dan Scarborough and Paul Sampson. Players dependent on final fitness & availability.
Following the tradition of raising funds for rugby charities, this match has chosen to donate all profits to ‘All Schools’ - a RFU & Rugby Football Foundation Charity, RFU Injured Players Foundation, RPA’s Restart, & WRPA Benevolent Trust.
