The last time Gloucester played an away Guinness Premiership game, they lost 10-7 at Newcastle Falcons, a result and a performance which posed serious questions about their play-off credentials. Since then, though, they have beaten contenders Sale Sharks and London Irish at Kingsholm, and they go back on the road to Harlequins this weekend looking to continue that sort of form.
It’s vital they get a result at the Stoop, to keep their recent momentum going and to set them up for the following game, the Kingsholm showdown with good old Barf. Glaws coach dean Ryan has fitness concerns over James Simpson-Daniel (right) and Iain Balshaw, who both have dead legs (not really dead, but poorly), and Will James (hamstring). Olly Morgan is out with a dead leg, while Luke Narraway could be available if he is released by England. The Six Nations is having a weekend off, so players involved last weekend are available. Whether they play remains to be seen. With eight games left, this is the most crucial stage of the season as Glaws try to turn two seasons of play-off disappointment into success. They are in the box seat, four points clear of London Irish at the top, but Sale are five behind with one game in hand and Bath, also five behind, have two more to play. Those four are favourites for the play-offs, but Quins – ten behind Glaws - will be desperate to turn their fifth place into something better, and they would consider beating the Cherry and Whites as a great start to a late-season climb up the table. There are going to be some nail-biting games between now and the end of the season. Meanwhile, Ryan has announced that although hooker Olivier Azam has been linked with a return to his native France at a time when many players are heading across the Channel, Glaws have made him an offer to stay. Azam’s wife is pregnant and the big money on offer in France is tempting many players of all nationalities to follow the likes of Andy Goode over there, but Ryan hopes Ollie will stay at Kingshom.

It will be very tough. Quins are a tidy side and are full of confidence. With Glaws suffering injuries in key positions it must make Quins favourites for Saturday
It will be tough, quins are a lot like Irish in the way that they have a lot of dangerous players that will counter attack, also Nick Evans has been a great triumph for them at fly half, he kicks the points as well as brings a lot of players into the game. With our momentum building I see a close game, I also see (unfortunately) that we will lose but get a losing bonus point.
The two sides are evenly matched and have produced some cracking games recently. Personally I think whoever wins the backrow battle will win the game but Quins with home advantage start slight favourites for me.
Anglers aside I was annoyed with Glaws' apparent lack of attacking intent. Second half the backrow were on top but Glaws didnt have an interest in attacking and just kicked possession away for Quins to run with, Glaws were lucky Quins butchered at least a dozen points in kickable penalties or it would of been a lot worse. As far as Glaws go, most disappointing.
I have never read so much rubbish in all my life. Glaws were superb all day and could so easily have won that game. And it stops the likes of you and the rest of the deadwood from demanding the head of DR. COME ON GLAWS!!!!!!!
Not only our fullback, we are proud of all our players and our great club and our supporters. Thank God we are not a bunch of wax jacket wearing chinless wonders like those to be found at the Stoop.

A coach is judged by results - Glaws were NOT superb, they lost. This "deadwood" is not demanding the head of DR, but I am demanding consistency from an expensive team.
