Last Ditch Heartache

Well it was a lot better. Marcus Smith's two tries looked like they might make the difference until a 74th minute penalty try denied Quns their first victory of the new Prem season.

Sharks took the game on their own turf 28-24 but at least Quins came back with two bonus points,  which makes the table look a little better.

They will rue the TMO's decision to rule out two first half "tries" but still went into oranges with a 17-14 lead courtesy of an early try for Sam Riley set up by Smith and George Furbank. The latter two combining again to send Marcus over for his first with his second coming shortly after.

Riley also got a second after the break to earn the try bonus point,  but the game hinged on that late penalty try where was judged the sinner as a rollimg maul was pulled down.

It's the Euro Challenge Cup this Sunday with the visit of RC Vannes. A chance to work on a fe wthings, perhaps.
