The Lions subdued a dogged Taranaki to ease away to an ultimately comfortable victory in the second match of their New Zealand tour. After trailing 7-6 at the interval to Chris Masoe's try, the visitors scored four of their own in the second half.
The British and Irish Lions eased to a second victory on their tour of New Zealand. They trailed 7-6 at half-time, but a try from Martin Corry after half-time, and further tries from Shane Horgan and Geordan Murphy (2), finished off the victory for the Lions. Charlie Hodgson also put in a brilliant performance, scoring 16 points and setting up all of the tries, which puts in contention to start against the all blacks. Geordan Murphy also had a great game, scoring two tries and setting up Shane Horgan for the final score.
