Although a week away before we go to Blackheath the lads have their last pre season friendly this evening against Ivybridge before taking on Blackheath in the seasons opening game away on the 2nd. September. After the Penzance match last Saturday which by all accounts was a good work out for the boys we look forward to tonights match.

The squad for the Ivybridge game k.o. 5.30 is on our site as a link from the official site.

This is a short story this time as the one I prepared for the Redruth game didn't go out, I forgot to post it although it was written out !!!

So we have to run with this before I prepare a full report before the Blackheath game with some photo's as well.

Does anyone know what is going on with the Albion team? Matt Shepherd is not named in the side. Does anyone know anything about this Joe Snow who has been picked ahead of him and Cam Setter?
Also what has happened to Ed Holmes; Dan Williams; Robin Wedlake and Luke Chapman.Theres no new squad details on the website.

Robin Wedlake got crocked (knee/ligaments) in the Pirates game and was on sticks at the Ivybridge fixture on Monday. He was supposed to be having a scan this week.

Matchday squad update:

PARFC Twitter

Twitter feed (and Spotlight, apparently) also shows photo of season squad with chippies' aprons for Bond Timber, plenty of tattoo ink and new haircuts of 30 buff bodies in total ready for the off. Can't say I could ID the lot at this stage...

Fanzone Sep newsletter has a list of names with contract lengths; Chapman (1 yr), Williams (2 yrs). From memory, Snow's name was on the list of players (complete with weight/height details) read out at Meet the Players after the Ivybridge game.

PARFC has a new PR person by the name of Lucy Ryland. Eoghan Grace also seems to have some sort of website role, but the word is that the old/existing website is a lame duck. Haden Tye, who did well last year with match reports is still involved with producing matchday programmes - that may be the best source of information come next Sat.

All the resources appear to be going in to club house refurbishment, right now - we're certainly not being spoon-fed player info...

Come cheer up, my lads - 'tis to glory we steer!
