Preview: Rosslyn Park v Albion
March 22 2019
This weekend sees Albion head to the capital to take on Rosslyn Park who currently lie third in the league. A win by Albion would put a serious dent in RP's title hopes whilst potentially propelling Albion up the table.
This doesn't seem likely given Park's current run of 6 wins on the bounce whilst Albion have blown hot and cold, saving their better performances for home games.
Most of Park's tries have been scored by their forwards (60%) although quite a few have gone out wide to the wingers. In a similar vein, their defence has kept the opposition forwards from scoring, the backline however, looks to be more vulnerable conceding three-quarters of the tries scored against them. They have also conceded a lot more in the second half.
Discipline-wise Park have avoided collecting many cards - only half of those received by Albion, whilst the boot of Gregory Lound has found the target 84% of the time (Sheppy is on 74%).
It seems that Albion will need to keep their discipline and keep the ball away from the forwards to maximise their chances of winning.
The weather looks set to be gloomy, but dry. Not much wind and a cool 10°.
Forecast - Win for RP, Albion to get a point with 4 tries.
