We've heard about the the hand of Back We've heard how bad we cheat But what we've still not heard you know Is that there's a God in Stimmos feet He'll kick 'em long He'll kick 'em wide There's no punt that will phase him And you know that when the chips are down Our Tim's the one to save 'em So let's hear it for our Golden Boot and for his sparkling play We know that when our Stimmo's there Tigers will win the day

Tigers have had England fullbacks before, Marcus Rose and Dusty Hare made crowds roar, But a fan would be without all reason, To deny the best is our Tim Stimpson. Though we all know he is simply the best, Andrew and Woodward have been less impressed. But that helps to highlight the ignorance, Which both bores use to assess performance. Why the first man to a thousand league points, Is not the one the England coach annoints, Will long remain a murky mystery, Like the try the fourth ref said could not be. But its for many kicks both short and long, On all grounds from Paris to Perpignan, That we revere the deeds of our hero, Making us chant loudly, "Stimmo, Stimmo." Who can forget the hush oh so deathly, As he took THAT kick against Llanelli? For guts that gave his cheek a metal plate, We applaud Tiger Tim a Tigers great.

Now Stimmo is our best full-back He's called the Golden Boot For he's our first-choice kicker Who can win us lots of loot He's the bafflement of wingers And an outside half's despair Cos when the Garyowens fall Stimmo's always there. He can cut through teams' defences As he gallops up the pitch And bowls over poor defenders With uncompromising hits He can run it, he can kick it His range is something rare And when the pressure's bearing down Stimmo's always there. Tim Stimpson's quite a tall bloke With a firm and chiselled jaw And he's the master full back Whom the Tigers' fans adore But it isn't just a girl thing It's a love that we all share Cos when the points need kicking Stimmo's always there. When the Legend'ry McLaren Commentated on that day That we raised the cup in Paris Auld Bill was heard to say "He's a big strong laddie, Stimmo And his play is firm but fair" But when Stade made their last-gasp break Then Stimmo, he was there! (and I know, cos I was there)

He flew in from the Falcons, who had failed to use his skill. Their loss was our advantage and we're benefiting still. His great right foot has seen off many a challenge without doot. The first to kick a thousand points and win a golden boot. He's famous for that "last gasp" kick that often saves the day, We saw it at the Forest ground beneath a sky of grey. He got us to the final, and in that final shone, Man of the match awarded. Ah, the memory lingers on. He's nice, he's smart, he's handsome, he's our bionic man. He's a favourite with the ladies, who all chase him when they can. He's the one and only Stimmo; he's an anthropologist, He's kicked us many a wondrous goal (and hardly ever missed). He'll go on to kick a thousand more, and go down in history, And when May comes round, in Dublin, he'll secure our victory.
