Cardiff Blues have announced the shock signing of 30-year old winger Jonah Lomu! The New Zealander will play for the Cardiff region from November to May during the hempishperes off-season.

In a sensational move, the so called 'Struggling' region have snapped up one of world rugby's legends for 7 months as he aims to pick up his fitness for North Harbour and try to make one final return to rubys elite.

Lomu had recently been 'in talks' with two English clubs, and it was thought that there had been no offers from the Celtic League, but the Blues are set to officially announce the signing in front of the home crowd before tomorrows show-down with Saracens.

He is registered for all 3 competitions, including the Heineken Cup as Cardiff look to qualify from their group.

The mood at Cardiff was already high with the debut of fellow Kiwi Xavier Rush due tomorrow, but the world-renownd superstar's signing will increase the good words being spoken about the region.

Although it's only a 7 month transfer, he will bring an immense amount to the side, simular to that of Matt Cockbaine in 2003.

Everyone around the club is eagerly awaiting his arrival already, but we'll have to wait until December before he makes any appearence.

Until then, the Blues will be keen to keep up the bouyant mood with a win tomorrow, and take it from there.
