First of all congratulations to Argentina, you had England on the ropes and in the dying moments I was praying for the clock to tick down. Argentina actually in my book deserved to win today, one week to prepare and what talent. Yes many play in Europe but hey look how they play. Well done Argentina and good luck for the future.
As for England ...Dear God give me strength!
I am so pleased I did not bother to pay £60.00 per ticket and travel 600 an odd miles return to Twickenham to watch that England Rugby performance today,
Instead, I booked my place with Sky HD and sat back and thought this week we should a least be able to put on a better show. Wrong, Wrong, Wrong I have never seen such an abject performance in all the time that I have followed England.
The first half was a laughing stock of a game, I have seen more pace on Strictly Come Dancing than England showed at Twickenham today. Soooo many mistakes and please........ Monye is not a full back, what a nightmare of a game he had today but he was not alone.
Although Banahan scored the try he looked like a lump labouring around the field, Wilkinson was below par in all aspects of his game and did not seem to link with Geraghty at all. In fact I am not even sure he through him a pass during the game they both seemed to go in different directions.
I am at a loss to describe what I saw today other that after 70mins we seemed to up the pace, passed the ball well for a few seconds and we scored a try. We had a drop goal at the start and a couple of penalties, some missed penalties but a stream of errors and abysmal handling skills.
Nobody seemed to ignite a sense of urgency and even in the last few moments Goode kicked the ball just yards away instead of hoofing it miles down the park.
A dreadful, sickly, awful performance from England today, in fact I can almost see the All Black licking their lips with anticipation.
On the England performance today they need not bother with the 'Haka' .......The England Lion will just roll over and play pussy!
Bet these two don't sleep well tonight!
