The RFU Council approved the recommendations of the Adult Competition Review that will see adjustments to the structure of competitive rugby. The changes take account of player welfare concerns and will help to reduce the financial burden on clubs, while providing meaningful competition. Tony Spreadbury has been appointed RFU Head of Professional Game Match Officials having led the referees’ department this season. Twickenham Stadium became the first stadium in Europe to announce the installation of LED floodlights by Musco Lighting. This is part of the Rugby Football Union’s (RFU) stadium redevelopment programme that is already well underway to ensure the home of England Rugby is a world-leading facility for the Rugby World Cup in 2015 and beyond. Counties England Counties XV held their nerve to beat Emerging Georgia 15-14 with a last minute try from flanker Ollie Cooper-Milar at the Rustavi Stadium in Tblisi today.
