Despite being the other side of the world, supporters can watch the full tournament live on Sky Sports 3 from 10.20pm on Friday 29 and Saturday 30. The first 30 minutes of day two will start on the red button but remaining action will be on the front channel.
England have been drawn in pool C and will play France in the opening game (10.30pm GMT), before taking on USA (1.54am GMT ) and Samoa (4.28am GMT).

England Sevens finish fourth in Wellington
England Sevens finished fourth in Wellington following a convincing win over Argentina (33-7) in the quarters before coming up short against eventual tournament winners New Zealand (25-5) and Fiji (12-24).
Simon Amor’s side battled hard against Fiji in the bronze final to bring it back to within two points from a 14-5 half time deficit but two tries in the last three minutes saw last year’s HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series’ winners clinch third place.
After topping their pool, England started strongly against Argentina on day two and have now overtaken the Cape Town finalists in the series standings (moving from fifth to fourth) as they head into the next leg in Sydney.
Amor said: “The boys gave it their all this weekend. They didn’t quite get it right in attack in those final two games but we have a young team out here and it has been an amazing experience for them playing against two incredibly physical sides, I’m proud of them.
“We had very clear tactics when playing against Argentina in the quarters and they are a difficult side to face. The way the boys executed that game plan was excellent. They also played great rugby on day one, particularly against the USA.”
Against Argentina, Tom Mitchell opened the score by gathering a tap back, within the dead ball area, from Dan Bibby who had limited space and was under pressure from the oncoming defence.
Argentina drew level before Richard De Carpentier set up two breakaway tries, first for Bibby and then Alex Davis. Individual brilliance sent Davis over for his second and Mitchell rounded off an impressive and composed performance with England’s fifth try of the game.
Last season the host side was always victorious when England and New Zealand met - New Zealand claimed the Wellington title after beating England 27-21 in the final while in London, Amor’s side progressed into semi-final by beating the visitors 21-17.
The pattern continued today and, with quick and effective work at the breakdown and powerful running to break through tackles, New Zealand showed their full potential against England. Despite periods of English attack, New Zealand’s dominance gave them a 20-0 lead.
Jack Wilson crossed in the corner to score his first series’ try for England but with a minute still left to play the hosts struck again setting up a final against South Africa and leaving England to play for third but still making it six years of finishing in the top four in Wellington.
England will once again play the USA next weekend in Sydney, the fourth round of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. They have been drawn in pool D which also includes Wales and Japan.

Injury struck England finish seventh in Sydney Sevens

England Sevens finished seventh in Sydney after the injury struck squad lost to Australia (12-17) in extra time in the cup quarters before going down (14-19) to Argentina in the plate semi-final.
England finished top of their pool yesterday with wins over Japan (26-5), Wales (21-5) and USA (17-14) but in the process lost key play maker Dan Bibby and Warwick Lahmert.
Head Coach Simon Amor said: “I’m so proud of the guys. Everyone is disappointed with the result but, after the first game when Bibby was ruled out, we said that this is a chance to show what our attitude and effort are like and in both those areas we were excellent. It hurts, and the boys want to do better than this in tournaments, but they fought and fought against the odds so I can’t ask for any more.
“Credit must go to the inexperienced guys like Ruaridh McConnochie, who had to play a ridiculous number of minutes, and Ethan Waddleton. They were thrown in at the deep end in pressurised situations and did really well.”
Through James Rodwell and Tom Mitchell, England twice took the lead against Australia but the hosts levelled the scores at 12-12 in the final minute to force sudden death.
Amor’s side matched Australia’s intensity but, after a nail biting four minutes, a turnover and blindside attack sent the hosts over in the corner for the crucial score.
England beat Argentina 33-7, when the two sides met only last weekend in Wellington, but this time it was Argentina who opened the scoring to race to a 14-0 lead.
Powerful running from Jack Wilson reduced the gap before captain Mitchell levelled the scores, combining speed and impressive footballing skills to go the length of the field.
Argentina drove over the line mid-way through the second half to nudge back ahead and when England – now also without the injured Alex Davis – made one last effort to fight back, the delayed support for flyer Tom Bowen showed that the depleted squad’s efforts had finally taken their toll.

England make three changes for Vancouver Sevens

England have made three changes for the Vancouver Sevens this weekend (12-13th March) with Richard de Carpentier, Warwick Lahmert and debutant Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas coming into the squad.
They replace Alex Gray, Tom Mitchell and Jack Wilson as England take on New Zealand, USA and France in pool D.
Vancouver has been added to the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series for this first time this season and it was new hosts Canada who knocked England’s depleted squad out of the Las Vegas tournament last weekend in the shield semi-final.
Head Coach Simon Amor said: “We are not a programme that makes excuses. In previous tournaments we have had injuries but our strong attitude and work rate have not been compromised, last weekend was not good enough and harsh lessons were learned. We are aware that we need to build depth in our squad in key positions so that when injuries occur we are able to consistently remain at the top end of tournaments. This is not a short term process and we need to show our mental resilience."
“The positives are that Dan Norton showed good form after missing the last two tournaments and being ill on day one and Phil Burgess, who has been out with injury, played well and was a strong captain in Tom Mitchell’s absence. Due to the injuries Charlie Hayter played more than initially planned, but he responded well in his first tournament since last summer and he will get further game time under his belt in Vancouver.”
Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas is the sixth England Sevens player to earn his first cap this season and the 21yearold will be following Cameron Cowell, Ruaridh McConnochie, Harry Glover and Ethan Waddleton as having progressed from the England Sevens academy side onto the World Series.
Amor added: “We lose some leadership with Alex, Tom and Jack returning home but I am sure that Richard, Warwick and Oskar will bring energy, passion and commitment to the squad. We took a big step backwards in Las Vegas and with a tough pool in Vancouver we will be working hard in all aspects of our performance to take a big step forward."

England have been knocked out of the Vancouver Sevens by hosts Canada 17-7 in the bowl semi-final.
After finishing third in a tough pool on day one England were drawn against Portugal. Debutant Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas opened the scoring after two minutes and was one of five players to touch down in the 31-0 quarter-final win.
Against Canada a chip and chase from Dan Norton, and a try saving tackle from the winger, just before the break kept the scores level 7-7 at half time however two tries in two minutes from the hosts created a ten point difference which England couldn’t recover.
Yesterday a tightly contested opening game resulted in a 7-0 loss to New Zealand. England were then undone 17-12 by USA before finishing day one with a 14-12 win over France.
