England v New Zealand Quilter Autumn International - They Don't come bigger than this on Rememberance Weekend!!
England v New Zealand
Hillary Shield Match
Saturday 10th November
Twickenham (Home of Rugby) - Kick Off 1500 GMT
Well here we go again but this one is a big one, because hey! Everyone wants to beat the best and most consistent team in the world. England are no different. However, after last week's stuttering win over the Boks, it will be a miracle but miracles do happen so let's hold on to our hats and see!
Three changes from last weekend, Ashton starts, Ben Moon replaces Alec Hepburn and Sam Underhill starts instead of injured Tom Curry.
Apparently Eddie has a gut feeling that Ashton will perform well. It is four years since England last met the 'All Blacks' due to the way the fixtures have fallen and Jones insists injured England know they can create an upset that would land a mental blow ahead of next year’s Rugby World Cup. Let's hope he is right.
“I said to the boys after South Africa that I can’t wait. I cannot wait,” the head coach said. “They are the benchmark for world rugby, the team you want to play against. “Where are you in the world? You only know when you play against the All Blacks. “Any team that wins 91 per cent of their games is a great team. What other teams in world sport do that?"
Eddie also backs his bench of finishers to have a huge impct with Jamie George, Courtney Lawes, Danny Care, George Ford and Nowell among them.
“We have a really good bench,” he said. “The finishers did well last week and again they will be vital on Saturday against New Zealand in the last 20 minutes which we know has a very significant impact on the result of the Test match.”
